Term 3 has gotten off tho an amazing start.  We did a mini novel study about the Gruffalo, reading the Gruffalo in Scots.  We learned about lots of Scottish words e.g. hoolet, wee moose, plooks that are used in this story.

We also learned Heid, Shooders, Knaps and Taes (Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes) and 4 of us stood up at the P6 Burns assembly to perform it.  Miss Breslin was so impressed by us all.  We learned this as part of our learning about Rabbie Burns.

We have been learning about 3D shapes and working with a perner, we created a 3D model using junk.  miss Breslin was impressed by our imaginative results.

We had a wonderful surprise - Buzz Lightyear visited our classroom at lunchtime, leaving a Buzz outfit for our class bear to wear.  We we puzzled until Nathan told Miss Breslin that Buzz and the gang want us to learn about toys.  Buzz is visiting our class each night to leave Miss Breslin the activities that we need to do.

World of Work week has just finished and we had so many visitors over the week.  We loved hearing about the jobs of our Active Schools Co-ordinator, a nurse, a dance and drama teacher, a firefighter and police officers.  They played games with us, brought in equipment to show us and taught us so much.  Thank you all of you!!
